Errol Nordstedt alias Eddie Meduza

Den svenske musikeren Errol Nordstedt (1948—2002) hadde sin musikalske karrière gjennom rollefiguren Eddie Meduza. En enkel 50-tallsrock krydra med grove tekster gjorde ham til de svenske raggarnes frontfigur. Låtene ble sett på som provokative fordi de handlet om sprit, damer og sex. Dokumentaren viser de siste intervjuene som ble gjort før hans død. Samt intervjuer med venner og familie, konsertopptak og Eddie Meduzas egen videoproduksjon.

The musical career of Swedish musician Errol Nordstedt (1948—2002) was channelled through his stage persona Eddie Meduza. Straightforward ‘50s rock music seasoned with rude lyrics made him a leading figure among the Swedish 'Raggare'. Because they were about booze, women and sex, the songs were regarded as provocative. This documentary shows the last interviews made before his death, as well as interviews with friends and family, concert footage and Eddie Meduza’s own video production.
Om regissøren:
Bodil Furu (f. 1976) er utdannet ved Statens kunstakademi i Oslo. Hun har jobbet med dokumentar siden 1998 og har deltatt på en rekke utstillinger og kortfilmfestivaler. I 2000 deltok hun med FRIHET (1999) på Kortfilmfestivalen i Grimstad.

The director:
Bodil Furu (b. 1976) was educated at Oslo National College of the Arts. She has worked with documentaries since 1998, participating in numerous exhibitions and festivals for short films. In 2000 her film FREEDOM (1999) was screened at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad.
