A Football Fairytale

GJEMSELUND GRÅTER er historien om en fotballklubb og en lokalpatriotisme som mange vil kjenne seg igjen i, humre over og beveges av. Fotballdokumentaren om Kongsvinger og KIL-supporternes gleder og sorger sier også mye om norsk fotballs utvikling de siste 20 årene, både sportslig og økonomisk. Kongsvinger var i lang tid askeladden i norsk toppfotball, men en gang måtte eventyret ta slutt.

A FOOTBALL FAIRYTALE is a story about a football club and a type of local patriotism that many will recognize, chuckle at and be moved by. The film, which documents Kongsvinger and Kongsvinger’s Football Club supporters’ joys and sorrows, says a lot about the development of Norwegian football over the past 20 years, both in the sporting and economic senses. For a long time Kongsvinger was considered an upstart in Norwegian Elite Football, but eventually all fairytales have to come to an end.
Om regissøren:
Lars Karelius Noer (f. 1974) er fjernsynsutdannet i Volda, hadde co-regi på dokumentaren DET MENINGSLØSE 2001, vist under Kortfilmfestivalen 2002, for tiden reporter i Dinamo Storys dokumentarserie fra Svalbard, produseres for NRK.
Frode Myhra Skog er cand.mag. fra Volda og Universitetet i Oslo. Han har de siste årene jobbet som frilansprodusent med flere NRK-viste dokumentarer. Var i fjor representert med DET MENINGSLØSE 2001 på Kortfilmfestivalen. I tillegg har han regien på NOE MED FILM – en annen dokumentar vist på årets festival.

The director:
Lars Karelius Noer (1974) was educated in television at Volda College, and co-directed the documentary THE MEANINGLESS YEAR 2001, which was screened at the Short Film Festival in 2002. He is presently a reporter for Dinamo Story, where his documentary series from Spitzbergen is under production for NRK.
Frode Myhra Skog is a cand.mag from Volda and the University of Oslo. He was worked as a freelance producer on several NRK documentaries. Last year he was represented at the Short Film Festival with the documentary THE MEANINGLESS YEAR 2001, and this year with GOING INTO FILM.
