POOR LAND Bieda-Ziemia En rørende film som formidler et kraftfullt budskap uten å bruke ord. Scener fra en av de ulovlige kullgruvene i Polen, som gir arbeid til ca. 5000 arbeidsløse, men under farlige arbeidsforhold. Dusinvis av dem dør i arbeidsulykker hvert år.	A moving film which conveys a forceful message without using words. Scenes from one of the illegal coal mines in Poland, which gives work to approximately five thousand unemployed people, but in unsafe conditions. Dozens die in work accidents every year.
Om regissøren FILIP MARCZEWSKI (f. 1974, Polen) ble utdannet som regissør ved den nasjonale polske filmskolen i Lodz og har en MA i humanistiske fag ved universitetet i Warszawa. Han arbeidet som TV-reporter og regiassistent før han regisserte dokumentarfilmen I Must Wait A Bit Longer (Musz troch poczekac) (2002). Han har også regissert kortfilmene Cyrano (2004) og Melodrama (2005).	*The director* FILIP MARCZEWSKI (b. 1974, Poland) was educated at the Polish National Film School in Lodz, Directing Department, and has an MA in Human Studies from the University of Warsaw. He worked as a TV reporter and director’s assistant before directing the documentary I Must Wait A Bit Longer (2002). He has also directed the short films Cyrano (2004) and Melodrama (2005).
