In the Frame of a Square
En abstrakt film, en pastisj over Oskar Fischingers arbeider. Filmen
undersøker forholdet mellom farge, bevegelse og rytme, og noen teorier fra
boken «Interaction of Color» (1963) av kunstneren Josef Albers. Musikken er
polyfonisk sang og fløyte av Aka-pygméer fra sydvestre del av Den
Sentral-Afrikanske Republikk, ved floden Ubangi.

In the Frame of a Square
An abstract film, a pastiche of works by Oskar Fischinger. The film
investigates the relationship between colour, motion and rhythm, and some
theories from the book «Interaction of Color» (1963), written by the artist
Josef Albers. The music is polyphonic vocal music and whistles performed by Aka pygmies from the south-western part of the Central African Republic, by the Ubangi river.

Om regissøren
Rustan Andersson (f. 1958) er utdannet ved Nordiska Konstskolan i Finland og Statens Kunstakademi i Oslo. Han arbeider i ulike teknikker, men med spesiell interesse for farge. Andersson er debutant på Kortfilmfestivalen.

The director
Rustan Andersson (b. 1958) was educated at the Nordic School of Art in Finland and the Oslo National College of the Arts. He works with various techniques, but has a special interest in colour. This is Andersson's first entry at Grimstad. |
